Project: FCDO Baghdad
Rotation: 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off subject to operational requirements

Role Requirements
Candidates must be able to demonstrate from their prior education and experience that they are operating at level F or higher of the Royal College of Surgeon’s Edinburgh PHEM Skills Framework
Demonstrable experience in close escorting and body-guarding with an accredited close protection training organisation and undergone at least two weeks dedicated training by their current employer. Able to provide training to all team members in trauma and life support.
Must have min of 7 year’s military experience with a minimum of 2 operational tours.
Valid SIA License (Close Protection front-line) - Demonstrable experience in close escorting and body-guarding with an accredited close protection training organization
British & Commonwealth passport holders only* – see note below
Current and valid UK C or C1 Driver's license (for B6 vehicles) and D or D1 (for the armoured bus) or other as accepted by the Authority.
Active experience in the use of firearms, specifically pistol, sub-machine gun, carbine and light machine gun. Compliant with the Authority's specified firearms training and fitness standards.
Capable and safe driver of heavy armoured four-wheel drive vehicles.
Communication equipment and voice procedure



Preferred
Recent military or security experience in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Recent commercial security guarding experience on a similar security guarding contract.

Proviso: You must have been resident in the UK for at least two of the previous 5 years immediately prior to your application, at least one year of which must have been a consecutive twelve-month period unless you have served overseas with HM Forces or in some other official capacity as a representative of Her Majesty’s Government, or have lived overseas as a result of your parents’ or partner’s Government employment

Services

Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of Close Protection Medical support services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of FCDO Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
Providing mobile armed protection to Authority staff and other tenants
Providing medical support to GW and client staff at a stand-alone client location. Including general medical assistance and first line support for trauma incidents. Management and administrative support to the project manager as required.
Ensuring all team medical equipment is maintained in an operational condition.
Maintaining all equipment and medicines in a sterile state before, ‘use by date’
Providing immediate emergency medical support (trauma or primary care) to personnel.
Liaising with specialist medical departments at local hospitals and clinics.
Demonstrating continuous professional development of medical skills and treatment techniques.
Maintaining contemporary knowledge of clinical guidelines and treatment techniques.
Ensuring that GardaWorld Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed at all times.
Assist with APT medical training as required.
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines
