Overview:
The OPO-T Training Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of courses and subjects at an OCONUS location. This position will be required to act as a subject matter expert in the cleared areas of expertise, as well as provide support in additional capacities.

Overview:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction in the respective area of expertise (i.e. driving, firearms, tactics, etc.)
Plan daily training events
Monitor student performance
Conduct lecture, range, and practical exercise events
Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training
Ensure all training events are conducted in a safe and compliant manner
Provide one-on-one remedial training as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Must be a U.S. citizen
Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance/Public Trust determination/Overseas Vetting, as required by the TO. Personnel Security Clearance/Public Trust determinations, or Overseas Vetting may not be required as specified in the TO (i.e. TO performance may not require obtaining a Government vetting process).
Must demonstrate Level 3 English language proficiency.
Positions involving instruction in protective operations, tactical skills, or guard training must possess a minimum of six (6) years of operational experience related to the areas of instruction. Experience may be gained in the employment of any federal, state, local, provincial, or commercial entities providing armed protective services. This experience must be earned in locations with significant risk. Up to three (3) years of experience as an instructor in the topics related to the instructor responsibilities may be considered as a substitution towards the minimum operational experience.
Positions involving instruction in driving must possess a minimum of three (3) years of instructional driving experience related to the areas of vehicle training. Must also be a graduate of a Government approved Defensive Driving Course.
Positions involving instruction in tactical medicine must possess a minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in tactical medicine and/or medical first response. This experience may be gained from related areas to include TCCC instructor, former WPS Paramedic or WPS AEMT labor positions, pre-hospital care, Special Forces Medic (MOS 18D) or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC), or as an Advanced Tactical Paramedic with the Department of Defense.
Positions involving firearms instruction must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience working and/or assigned the role as a firearms instructor; this experience must have been earned in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities with applicable duties of the instructor responsibilities.
Positions involving designated defensive marksman instruction must possess a minimum of two (2) years of this experience must be as a DDM/sniper/sharpshooter. Candidates claiming military experience must have either a sniper military occupation specialty (MOS) or additional skill identifier. If claiming law enforcement experience for this requirement, must be fulltime and not as a collateral duty. Must also possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience working and/or assigned the role as a firearms instructor; this experience must have been earned as part of other federal, state, or local government training assignments, or as a contractor directly supporting firearms instruction of these government entities.
Positions involving explosives countermeasures must possess a minimum of three (3) years of operational experience in the area of expertise.
Must have attended and successfully completed a minimum of eighty (80) hours of training in adult learning and/or instructional techniques (i.e. certifications from train-the-trainer courses).
Must possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.
Must be able to attend and successfully complete required instructor training.
