Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing emergency medical services, regulatory testing, injury/illness care, and education for employees within the paramedic scope of practice, the structure of Amentum’s Telemedicine standards, policies, procedures, and treatment care guidelines.
Essential Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements
Current National Registry Paramedic license required.
Must have 3-4 years of experience.
Must have CPR/ACLS/PALS certification. IFSAC Firefighter II certification preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR Instructor certification.
Must have current and valid driver’s license.
Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations; ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences; the ability to create and edit written materials.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; and the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
Must be able to lift heavy loads as that required to lift patients onto gurney.
Must have a valid passport.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

Job Summary

Maintains all pertinent paramedic licenses and certifications required by federal, state and local agencies. Acquires necessary continuing education units to maintain paramedic license.
Ability to work independently within a Telemedicine structure.
May be required to provide extended care up to 24 hours for critical patients while awaiting aeromedical transport.
Inspects assigned equipment to ensure it is ready for use at all times.
Maintain familiarity with the installation and awareness of hazardous work activities.
Active participant in the emergency response team activities, drills and training.
Inventories supplies in the ambulance and treatment room.
Provides medical care to patients as directed within the paramedic scope of practice following treatment care guidelines set forth by the US Navy BUMED/CNIC EMS Treatment Protocols and Amentum’s policy / procedures set forth by the Amentum Medical Director.
Facilitate limited Sick Call via consultation with telemedicine on-call physician.
Works 40 hour work week with rotational after-hours/Weekend on call status.
Performs respirator fit testing as needed.
Provides CPR, AED, and First Aid training to installation employees.
Facilitate DOT, Food Service, and Respiratory Protection Occupational Physicals (PPD, Hearing, Vision, Spirometry, EKG) utilizing telemedicine.
May perform hearing, vision, and spirometry, or other diagnostic tests as needed.
Performs post-accident, pre-employment, for-cause, and random drug/alcohol testing.
Participates in general flow of clinic operations (answers phones, medical records, and required reports).
Dispense, track, and place orders for medications and controlled substances.
Issue, track, and place orders for durable and disposable EMS supplies.
Responsible for public health programs already managed by FES EMS including but not limited to CPR and First Responder training and AED inspection and maintenance.
Arrange and coordinate Medical Evacuations via Air Ambulance as needed.
Respond to and support major incident response on scene EMS such as Spill Response or Mass Casualty Incidents and provide on scene medical monitoring of FES personnel for HazMat/High Hazard operations
Other job-related duties as assigned.
