International SOS would like to advise that a position for a doctor with good emergency experience has now become available in Angola. The position would be providing medical care to one of Angola's largest Oil & Gas providers.
Contract Type: Permanent/Rotational
Start date: Approx 15 June 2022
Rotation: 4 weeks on duty followed by 4 weeks off duty
Salary: A good day rate in US dollars is offered which applies to on duty days onlyOther Benefits: Economy Flights, Accommodation, Meals, coupled with all the necessary remote site insurances are provided
Overall Purpose of the Position:
The Employee is posted on-site primarily to serve as a provider of emergency care and primary care to the projects’ employees, dependents and visitors. The employee assists the Health, Safety and Environment management of the Site to perform their duties in the field of Health.
To perform the function of a Doctor as described on site
To meet the requirements of International SOS by delivering responsibilities of the position in a professional, efficient and effective manner
To ensure strict adherence to both the client and International SOS Standards and Standard Operating Procedures and Policies (P&P’s)
To ensure that the scope of work as outlined in the contract between International SOS and the client is adhered to. It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure that the scope of work is obtained from the Head of Operations – Medical Services
Criteria to apply:
To be registered as a doctor in country of origin/residence
Minimum of 5 years' post grad experience with at least 3 years' experience in emergency and primary care.
Have an understanding/working experience in Occupational Health & Safety
Must hold a valid ACLS (American Heart Association) or be willing to obtain
Must hold a valid ITLS or PHTLS or ATLS or be willing to obtain
Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish is non negotiable
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Previous remote site experience beneficial but not essential
Country entry requirements requires all arrivals are fully COVID vaccinated
Must hold a valid Passport
