We are currently looking for Offshore HSE Medics to join our offshore business in the UK to act as the primary source of medical advice on the installation for any personnel suffering from illness or injury on a 3/4 3/5 rotation. This individual shall be capable of exercising appropriate and competent medical skills in the event of an injury or acute illness, providing advice and consulting with onshore management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Main Duties
Provide onsite routine health care and advice to offshore personnel
Provide onsite emergency medical care 24 hours per day
Develop and maintain stock levels of all medications, including safe custody of controlled drugs and maintenance of controlled drugs register, in accordance with International SOS Management of clinical waste
Ensure all medical equipment and gases are functional, regularly inspected and maintained, including calibration of required items
Develop and maintain contingency plan for platform emergencies, including multiple casualty and communicable disease outbreak
Record and report sickness absence
Fitness to work assessments – offshore, routine breathing apparatus and Emergency Response Team
Flu vaccine programme deployment
Management of outbreaks of infectious disease
Catering and accommodation audit
Gym co-ordinator - safety awareness and implementation of gym policy
First Aid Instruction - training sessions for first-aiders, stretcher bearers and electricians
Promote Employee Assistance Programme
With cause evidential and non-evidential drug testing
Health Surveillance: Audiometry/Noise, HAVS (tier 1/2), Skin, Respiratory, Specific Exposures, night worker health check, and reporting to OH team on request
Display Screen Equipment Coordinator, facilitate self-assessments
Health Promotional Activities as defined by the health manager
Counselling - supporting personnel in times of bereavement or crisis at home.
Maintain medical confidentiality and data privacy as required by regulatory, client and professional standards
Health and Safety Responsibilities
The Health and Safety Site Lead roles and responsibilities shall include, but not necessarily be limited to
the following:
Deliver site Inductions and Donut training
Radiation Protection Supervision
Lead and participate in incident investigation
Actively participate site audits, daily safety meetings, weekly HSE meeting and monthly regional
meetings
Participation in self-verification activities and interpretation of safety performance data
Development of emergency response scenarios and facilitation of drills in accordance with Crisis
Management & Emergency Response plans
Facilitate the development of rescue plans
Inspect and label known asbestos and update asbestos register
Provide asbestos awareness training to personnel
Provide practical training for non-licensed work and awareness training to performing authorities
Advise, coach and support internal stakeholders in meeting HSE policies, Standards, Practices,
Guidelines and Regulatory requirements
Liaise with onshore HSE team regarding regulatory reporting and prepare reports as required
Participate in Control of Work meetings and Lead or participate in level 2 risk assessments
Meet expected leadership time in the field and coach platform personnel
Compile daily safety message
Roll out safety initiatives under the instruction of the HSE team leader
Experience Required:
Registered Nurse (Adult), with post-graduation experience within one or more of: A&E, ICU, HDU, OOH’s Service, ANP, Medical or Surgical Assessment Unit
Eligible to work, or resident, in the UK
