Your day to day
Join us as a Hotel Nurse. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be responsible to: Under the general guidance and supervision of the Nurse In-charge, the Hotel Nurse provides medical services for all employees in accordance with Hotel Policies and Procedures, and established medical practices.
Provide primary health service to all colleagues
Assess colleagues visiting the Hotel Clinic and give primary nursing care
Assist the doctor and perform doctor’s orders done in the Hotel Clinic
Register patients in HIS system
Check vital signs
Implement doctor’s orders: iv medications, injections, ECG taking, RBS checking, referral to specialist/hospital
Provide First Aid when the need arise in the Hotel and Accommodation
Arrange medical referrals and ambulance transport for emergency cases
Maintain the records of daily and weekly statistics of colleagues’ clinic visits
Implement and maintain all administration regarding health care, sick leave documentation and medical filing for all employees.
Control the accuracy of sick leave authorization forms.
Coordinate sick leave reporting with other departments and update sick colleague’s condition to managers while maintaining confidentiality
Maintain hygiene of the clinic and its equipment
Ensure that all UAE Municipality and Health Authority requirements are strictly followed
Ensure Health Card records for all required colleagues are kept up to date
Assist colleagues when work related injuries arise from seeking medical care until workmen’s compensation claim
Purchase the adequate quantity of medical supplies from official supplies
Prepare expense reports for medical expenses, official taxi bills and claim reimbursements
Timely refill of First Aid Boxes so they are adequately stocked
Enrol colleagues in all insurance policies provided by hotel: medical, life and workmen’s
Apply and coordinate visa and occupational health card medicals
What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
A graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Registered Nurse is mandatory.
DHA License/ Eligibility letter
1-2 years' related experience the hospitality sector and similar property is preferred.
Previous GCC experience is an advantage
Display of comprehensive computer skills.
Well trained and skilled on the usage of medical equipment.
Must be well acquainted with the emergency medical procedures.
Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, Health & Safety aspects.
