We have a fantastic opportunity for Paramedics and former armed medical professionals with a medical education interest to expand their resumes and join a small, dedicated training team delivering a variety of courses within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Key roles and responsibilities
As a Senior Medical Instructor on our team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre-hospital care education as part of a national capability development program. You will join our established teams in civilian emergency preparedness or defence medicine and your role will include:
Participate in the coordination, implementation and evaluation of the training program(s)
Prepare and deliver courses at various sites across the state
Design training and assessment scenarios integrating state of the art high fidelity simulation tools
Evaluate learner performance, provide feedback, and develop learner remediation plans
Report on individual and collective group progress
Required Skills/Qualifications
HCPC or similar Health Care Professional registrant with a Diploma and/or Batchelor Degree in emergency medicine or subject relevant to the role.
Desirable:
HEMS Paramedic / Critical Care Paramedic / Advanced Paramedic
HART
Maritime skills
Educationalists
Successful completion of an educational methodology / adult learning course
At least 3 years of pre-hospital emergency medicine experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Knowledge and experience of pre-hospital emergency medicine
Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies
Demonstrated teaching and educational facilitation skills
Ability to adapt medical curricula to reflect local needs and national trends
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
Excellent oral, written and communication skills
Desirable Skills / Instructor Qualifications:
BATLS
PHTLS
MIMMS
ACLS / ALS/ PALS
CBRNe / ALS HAZMAT
Postgraduate qualification
This is a 2 year contract position. All expenses paid (housing, food, auto, insurance, etc.) and all income is tax-free.
