Health program coordinator (M/F) - Ethiopia

Tasks And Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the field coordinator and in collaboration with the medical coordinator in Addis Ababa, you implement the emergency program in Tigray.

Your main responsibilities are:
Ensure continuous analysis of health-related needs in Tigray region and adjust, if needed, the design of the emergency program that will be proposed by the fact-finding team
Take overall responsibility to manage and oversee the implementation of health-related activities for the emergency response in Tigray Region and support the base administrator on the elaboration and follow-up of the program’s budget
Facilitate training to project staff, ensure adhesion to protocols and provide technical support
Develop participatory program monitoring plan and ensure reporting data and communication from daily health activities & pharmaceutical data
Manage directly health program team at Tigray level
Promote collaboration and coordination with regional health office and other partners operating in the operational areas
Represent MdM in various coordination meetings in liaison with the field coordinator

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Status : Employee
Fixed-term contract
Duration : 3 months

Starting date: as soon as possible
Gross monthly salary: 2 845 euros
Expatriation bonus (10% gross salary per month)
Transportation cost, vaccines and visas covered
22.5 RTT (recovery days) per year
5 weeks of paid leaves per year
Health insurance (60% covered by MdM and 40% by the employee)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Medical doctor or nurse or midwife with experience in public health
Minimum of 3-year experience with a strong background in implementing health programs on emergency settings
Knowledge or at least field experience working on public health, primary health, SRH including GBV prevention and care programs
Experience in collaborating with local health authorities
Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff and work with project stakeholders
Good communication and report writing skills
Good negotiation skills with government and other agencies
Ability to work under pressure
Languages: English is mandatory, French is an asset
