Job Summary
To Assist the Doctor and day to day operation of the Resort Clinic in looking after the health needs of guests and Colleagues, as well as conduct periodic checks on all departments to make sure that public health and safety measures are observed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To be fully familiar with One&Only Brand Service Standards and to follow these standards of service as they apply to the Human Resources Department.
To be on call 24 hours for the guest (except on day off or out of the Resort and on official leave) irrespective of duty hours and expected to provide the best possible care with the available facilities.
Responsible for the upkeep of the clinic, medical and surgical equipment along with the doctor.
Complete understanding of the rules & regulations at One & Only Reethi Rah,Maldives.
Maintain the utmost confidentiality of the guest/Colleagues medical information.
Sterilize surgical instruments every day before normal clinic work starts and after use.
Administer daily dressing, any injections that may be needed for treatment if necessary after test dose upon the Doctors Order.
Attends medical emergency for guests and Colleagues irrespective of duty hours except when out of the Resort and on official leave.
Assist or support the Resort Doctor on procedures, treatments, consultations when necessary.
Keep the clinic records other than the patient’s (Colleague, Guest) case sheets up to date.
Along with the Doctor keep the colleagues Fusion Medical Records up to date.
To submit any bill prepared by Doctor/Nurse for Guests seen at the clinic to the Front Office for charging. In circumstances that the Nurse is not available e.g off days, on leave or in Field work the Doctor shall take over.
Check, Monitor and note expiry date of medicines in the clinic along with the Doctor so that near expiry medicines can be dispensed first.
Discard medicines past expiry date after informing the doctor.
Note down medicines about to finish, make out the PR and submit to Purchasing department in consultation with the Resort Doctor.
Once the medicines are delivered by the Receiving, to check batch number, Manufacturing date, expiry date, and discrepancy against the invoice and to stack the medicines in their respective places.
Along with the Doctor maintain a stock register of medicines and materials in the clinic for monitoring.
Enter the daily Guest and staff consultation cases in their respective logbooks.
If any similar periodic request by Ministry that too to be maintained in consultation with the Resort Doctor.
Assist the Resort Doctor in preparation and collection of samples for monthly water testing.
In any emergency, as a qualified nurse she is expected to provide all necessary care along with doctor as well as take initiative for necessary measures and treatments that needs to be given on that situation.
Enter cost of medicines dispensed to staff against each team member; department wise and assist the Resort Doctor make the month end report to be submitted to H R and Finance.
Should be familiar with the equipments; know where they are stored, and their applications.
Such equipments should be checked regularly for readiness with the help of Doctor or Engineering to keep them in good working order
Dispense medicines for ailments upon Doctors Order; in emergency situation should take initiative for necessary measures and treatments.
Issue First Aid Replenishments to respective departments upon their monitoring and request.
At all times professional conduct and confidentiality should be maintained
Maintain and Display the Core Values of the Resort
Assist the Resort Doctor on Accident/ Injury reports may it be Colleague or Guest.
To Assist the Doctor in giving referral letters to colleagues that requires further treatment in a bigger health facility.
When necessary will accompany Guest that needs additional and further treatment in Hospitals.
If the Doctor is not available and upon his approval should answer e-mails pertaining to any clinical concerns of each department.
Send out weekly Health Awareness to Colleagues.
Assist the Doctor in Monitoring the Sick leaves issued.
All guest related problems should be dealt with in consultation with the doctor. However, in some circumstances the nurse maybe asked to perform certain tasks under the guidance of the doctor.
Education level:
Licensed Nurse
Graduate Diploma in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
