International SOS has a permanent residential position for a Lead Nurse (Lead Medical Liaison Nurse), to be based in Bahrain.
The role is for an experienced nurse to deliver medical support and advice for an International SOS Tricare project, which provides medical care for US veterans staying at the US base in Manama.
It is to be noted, that you would not treat patients, the general role is that of a co-ordinating nurse - offering phone support and to accompany a member to hospital in Bahrain if needed. You would move between the US military base in Manama, and between three different hospitals also located in Manama.
We would not support a medical license in Bahrain for this role as you would act in an advisory capacity only, therefore a medical license is not required.
For the Lead Nurse position, you would be responsible for managing the three junior nurses to ensure that all patient requests are dealt in line with the required protocol. You would need to also have:
Consultancy type experience (ie ability to enhance the established facilities)
Excellent client facing skills
Proven Management experience
Excellent administration and operational skills
Be a Top Team Leader and demonstrate cultural awareness in all activities
Mature outlook
For the right person, International SOS will provide:
Monthly salary paid in USD (which will be split into two accounts 1xlocal and 1xinternational)

22 days annual leave
