Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is advancing the historic Bellevue Gold Mine in Western Australia which was in its day one of Australia's highest-grade gold mines. The Company is one of the highest grade new discoveries in Australia in recent times. The historic mine was closed and forgotten for over 20 years.

The Bellevue Gold Project is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of discovery success.

The Company is progressing the Bellevue Gold Project with the goal of becoming a significant gold producer.


We are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety, Advisor/Medic. This position is responsible for the day to day function of all Health, Safety & Medic requirements on site, as well as the development and promotion of required H&S procedures, policies and standards for site and the continuous monitoring of H&S initiatives, as well as some administration duties. This role will be offered on a 8:6 FIFO roster.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Establish and maintain the site Occupation Health and Safety Management Plan (OHSMP), including all necessary Procedures, Registers, checklist etc.
Develop and submit all Safety, Occupation health statutory reports to the relevant government agency
Ensure site compliance with Company safety policies and procedures, and relevant Statutory requirements, via appropriate education, training and testing of the workforce, contractors and visitors, and ongoing checking of compliance by appropriate auditing.
Develop, foster and maintain Risk based approach.
Interface with, management, employees, stakeholders and contractors on issues related to Health & Safety.
Provide regular appropriate written and oral reports to senior managers.
Responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive working relationship with employees and contractors on site to ensure a consistent application of Risk Management Strategies and Safety Culture programs in the field
Providing support for the day to day requests from all site personnel for HS assistance
Having a visual presence on site in a supporting capacity
Develop and deliver training and awareness packages for Safety & Health initiatives
Maintain the site Risk Register
Participate in Audits and Inspections
Provide Subject matter expert assistance to incident investigations
Manage corrective action registers
Responsible to maintaining the Fit for Work testing
Provide medic assistance where required

Essential selection criteria and experience required:
Relevant tertiary OHS and Medic qualification (As a minimum Cert 4 OHS certification)
Alcohol and Other Drugs Collector
Incident Investigation certification
Risk Assessing certification with proven experience in Risk Facilitation
Experience in Injury and Incident Classification
Current and Valid Driver's license
A proven commitment to the Safety and the well-being of the workforce
Previous experience in a similar site H&S position
Proven capability to develop systems and procedures
Experience providing Emergency response and rescue as well as setting up ESO systems and procedures for site
Sound Knowledge of the Mine Safety Inspection Act and Regulations
Considerable experience gained from within the resources sector working in similar capacity, including a working knowledge of legislation, statutory reporting requirements, codes of practice, in relation to the WA resources industry
Well-developed communication and literacy skills
Excellent word processing and MS Office skills
Ability to work autonomously with strong technical knowledge relating to all facets of H&S, experience with underground operations is advantageous
