Primary Function
Develops, designs, implements, oversees, and sustains a program of medical direction for Emergency Medical Technicians at the Basic, AEMT, and Paramedic level, in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission and values.
Essential Functions
Develops, designs, implements, oversees, and sustains a program of medical direction for Emergency Medical Technicians at the Basic, AEMT, and Paramedic level, in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Develops, designs, and implements a system of quality assurance and skill competency for those technicians under his medical direction.
Develops and maintains a set of clinical protocols followed by the technicians under his medical direction that conform to the relevant scope of practice as defined by the National Emergency Medical Services Scope of Practice.
Develops, designs, implements, and sustains a system of continuing medical education that meets required recertification requirements, is responsive to identified quality assurance issues, and maintains the cognitive knowledge base necessary to perform to protocol and industry standard.
Job Requirements
US Citizen
Current American Board of Emergency Medicine in Emergency Medicine and sub-specialty ABEM certification or eligibility in Emergency Medical Services
Must possess current state medical licensure.
Ability to travel to, and/or work in, an austere, hostile, or remote location.
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation.
Must be willing to deploy OCONUS.
Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work.
Must be able to function effectively in a normal office environment.
Must act with high ethical values and uphold corporate philosophy
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
Strong initiative
