Title:LCV Kosovo IJP: Emergency Medical Technician - EMT
Emergency Medical Technicians possess the essential knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life-threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technician must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care within their scope of practice and according to organizational policies. Respond to emergency calls, administer first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons in pre-hospital settings. Utilize necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Maintains all required certification and attends required in-service training to maintain base knowledge and skills—complete electronic and paper documentation wholly and accurately for each transport. Properly move lift and move patients, stretchers, and equipment, without injury to the associate or patient.
Physical activities include, but not limited to, considerable use of arms and legs and moving of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
Required Certifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
National Registered EMT
ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
Preferred
National Registered EMT-P
Additional requirements:
Must be fluent in English
NAC-I Required
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
