RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides physician assistant services at Post, including treatment of illnesses or minor injuries suffered during security operations
Stabilizes and prepares sick and injured personnel to a higher level medical facility
Ensures that the contents and serviceability of medical kits supplied to personnel and placed in operational vehicles are properly maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
US citizen
Must have a valid U.S. issued tourist passport and U.S. issued driver's license
Level three (3) English language proficiency
Level three (3) language proficiency in all languages/dialects identified in the task order
Valid U.S. issued passport and driver's license
Must be trained and certified to current US recognized medical standards
Must possess current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
Must have successfully completed Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), a comparable advanced trauma course featuring exceptional simulation training within the last ninety (90) days
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of PA experience, with a majority of this experience being within an emergency room and/or in direct support of military operations
Attend and successfully complete all required training courses
Qualify with the Glock-19 and M4, re-qualifying as required by the task order
Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance/public trust certification as identified in the task order
Complete the Physical Readiness Test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.
