Job Description

The Candidate shall perform casualty reporting for all hostile and non-hostile events in the categories of seriously injured and very seriously injured. Track and report on all casualties admitted to Role III Medical Treatment Facilities in the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan Intensive Care Unit and Intensive Care Ward. Communicate all casualties and their admission, disposition, medical progress, and regress to unit Commanders or contracting company supervisors. Report all non-battle and battle injuries of Military Soldiers, Department of Defense (DOD) Contractors and DoD Civilians. Roll up and submit weekly reports. Other duties as assigned.


Basic Job Requirements

Current state and/or NREMT registered EMT-B and able to maintain registry. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years related experience. Currently CPR Certified.


Other Job Requirements

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced EMT or EMT-Paramedic and able to maintain registry. Knowledge of Military Human Resources systems such as Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS), Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO), Synchronized Pre-Deployment and Operational Tracker- Enterprise Suite (SPOT-ES), Transportation Regulating and Command and Control Evacuating System (TRAC2ES), Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Defense Casualty Information Processing System- Casualty Reporting (DCIPS), Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR Network), and Secret Internet Protocol Route Network (SIPR Network)
