Responsibilities:

Initial emergency response, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill or injured (trauma) patients, employing ALS emergency medical protocols (e.g. ACLS);
Staging point for medical evacuations from the site to a location where further treatment can be performed if the medical need of the patient exceeds the capabilities on-site, and coordination of such evacuation (in conjunction with 24-hr alarm centers);
Treatment of non-emergency medical conditions as per Intl.SOS treatment protocols including guidance and control by a physician in an alarm center;
Management and administration including an initial audit of equipment and medicines;
Management of medical equipment and supplies including the arrangement of resupply of consumables;
Implementation of site health plans and preventive medicine activities as required;
Regular health and hygiene inspections of on-site catering, accommodation and laundry areas;
Documentation, activity logs, and confidential patient medical record-keeping associated with the above activities.
Support of client HSE Manager by performing administrative duties under supervision.
Supported by International SOS infrastructure providing the following services:
A second medical opinion and management of cases (in particular, when a proposed intervention would make the case recordable) available 24/7 from a qualified doctor;
Management activities such as regular telephone calls to the site, site visits and periodic site audit as appropriate to ensure a high-quality and consistent service is delivered;
Compliance with Standards & Procedures and Group Practices applicable to Intl.SOS;
Regular updates to Client on-site medical issues (e.g. increase in malaria cases) and performance.


Quality Assurance and Administration
Liaise with the Medical Services Operations and Medical Director to optimize quality assurance and ensure that appropriate medical outcomes are consistently attained with respect to the provision of clinical services.
Take responsibility for the quality of medical service delivery as per International SOS guidelines and standards.
Ensure that patients’ medical files and documentation are maintained to the highest standards and in accordance with International SOS guidelines.
Assist in the maintenance, selection, and control of the medical equipment and supplies available when required


Requirements:
2 years post qualification experience
BCLS
ACLS
Train the Trainer qualified
Registered with MOH, Brunei
English speaking
