Under the overall supervision of the project manager and the project coordinator, the nurse will be working in the rural and urban areas of Mafraq Governorate. The objective of the project is to increase equitable access, uptake and quality of secondary and tertiary healthcare for Jordanian and Syrian WGBM in impacted areas. The nurse will focus on the identification of priority cases to facilitate access to secondary health care through a system of support to referral and cash transfer.
Main tasks responsibilities:
Liase with local CBOs /CSOs and health service providers in the target areas
Identify cases in need of cash for health support, according to NGO and donor procedures
Provide health education in the community on Covid-19 topics, especially hygiene practices and social distancing.
Promote the adoption of positive health behaviors
Conduct in-depth case assessment through home visits and onsite checkups aiming to reconstructing the history of pathology and actual needs
Conduct community mapping through daily field and home visits and meetings with key-stakeholders
Ensure that project database is constantly updated
Follow up on Cash for Health procedures, including preparation of the required documentation, in coordination with the health focal point
Other Duties
Submit progress and/or activities reports on a bi-weekly basis to the project manager
Participate effectively in meetings with the project staff
Maintain regular and clear communication pathways with the project staff in Amman
Updating the project staff on any risks, challenges in the field and to provide inputs based on her/his observation
Work closely with the local staff and project staff to ensure proper coordination is being implemented.
Prepare monthly plans for the activities.
Assisting in the procurement planning for the activities and ensuring to request any material needed for the activities ahead of time.
Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager / Supervisor
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
At least two years of professional experience, including a minimum of 1 year in similar position
Excellent facilitation skills
Good communication skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong reporting skills and English is highly preferred.
