EMT - Paramedic , Middle East

Administers basic and advanced life support care to sick and injured persons in pre-Hospital and in-Hospital setting consistent with the Hospital and Ambulance Services (AS) policies and protocols.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Assesses each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol as per patient’s needs.
2. Monitors and maintains the general condition of the unit, keeps it clean and stocked for optimal call response to maintain the image of the KFSH&RC Ambulance Services.

3. Completely documents activities to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.
4. Provides patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
5. Maintains response readiness consistent with KFSH&RC Ambulance Services’ response criteria.
6. Acts as a team leader and takes responsibility for scene management as needed.
7. Functions as trainer or preceptor, as necessary.
8. Adheres to maintain current certifications, keep the level of satisfaction and the quality of the work performed, preserve internal quality indicators and processes to perform efficient patient service, and document timely and accurately patient and equipment records and submitting all reports on time.
9. Participates in self and other’s education, training and development, as applicable.
10. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Emergency Health services or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required
Grade 08:
Two (2) years of related experience with Bachelor’s or four (4) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.

Grade 09:
-Four (4) years as Emergency Medical Technologist- Paramedic at KFSH&RC.

Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].
Other Requirements(Certificates)
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
Educational and Project management experience is required.
The following qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS are required.
