Detailed Description
The Emergency Health Program embraces a curriculum with an emphasis on outcome competencies of the graduates. It provides the graduate with practical skills and knowledge required of an emergency medical technician (Advanced Paramedic) at a beginning practitioner level.
The role involves:
Covering all teaching and learning activities (lectures, tutorials, workshops, labs, clinical sessions, etc.) as detailed in the curriculum
Course coordination where required
Designing and implementing assessment techniques appropriate to the course
Scholarly research activity and publishing findings in peer reviewed journals as well as presenting at discipline related conferences
Contributing to curriculum review and development as required
Contributing to Departmental and Institutional committees as requested
Participating in student clinical placement supervision as required
Mentoring and advising students with career opportunities.
Job Requirements
Masters in Emergency Health (Paramedic Science)
At least 2 years Higher Education teaching experience
4 years clinical experience within the Paramedic area, involvement in relevant professional/clinical activity relating to the field of study and Membership of Paramedics origination or society.
Non Native English speaker must achieve Academic IELTS 7 prior to joining IAT.
Additional Information:
All candidates must obtain the Equivalency Certificate for their highest qualification/s from the MoE, UAE.
Local Hires should submit the Equivalency Certificate/s before joining and overseas candidates have to submit the UAE attested certificates (High School, Bachelor, Master and PhD as applicable) before joining and should submit the Equivalency Certificate/s within 3 months of date of joining.
