Employer: Cunard or P&O Luxury Cruise Ships
Location: Fleet - Ship Based

Job reference: FSB-M(B-004438
Closing date: 31/12/2019
Employment type: Perm - Full Time
Department: Medical (Ship based)

Being a Nurse on board one of our Cunard or P&O luxury cruise ships means far more than treating sea sickness and sunburn. We believe that holidays are one of life’s great pleasures, and when someone feels unwell, we do everything we can to get them feeling fit, happy and reassured as quickly as possible. As an onboard Nurse you will provide and maintain high standards of patient care for both our passengers and Ship’s Company, ensuring a safe and efficient nursing operation within the Medical Centre for routine and emergency care.

You’ll feel part of something, working alongside passionate people from all walks of life, in a tight-knit and a hugely professional Ship’s Company. This is a unique medical environment, combining the challenges of remote medicine with a varied caseload. In addition to the routine surgery hours you’ll have on call duties for emergency admissions and, as first medical responder to emergency calls, you’ll assess patients and take appropriate action.

To join us as a Ship Nurse, you must be a level 1 registered nurse with current registration with the United Kingdom Nursing and Midwifery Council or appropriate Governmental regulatory body, three years post qualification. We ask that you have a broad range of experience in acute care areas with proven proficiency in a wide variety of clinical skills, including care and assessment of acutely ill patients and management of minor injuries and medical conditions. We ask for recent experience within A&E, although we may consider relevant experience in Medical Admissions Unit or a Critical Care setting.

We are looking for people who are ambitious, passionate and dedicated to delivering a quality service, while ensuring that clear and professional boundaries are kept when forming appropriate and professional relationships with our Guests and Ship’s Company.

It takes great passion and real dedication to maintain our position at the top. That’s why people are at the heart of our journey delivering the highest standards to our valued customers. We provide support to help reach your potential with an extensive CPD programme and training opportunities, together with attractive company benefits and incredible employee offers on discounted cruises. We want your career with us to be successful and fun. Join us on our journey, apply now.
