Location: UK-Northop-Irish Sea Pioneer
Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an Offshore Medic to join one of our assets in Liverpool Bay
The primary role of the Medic is to provide first line medical care to any person who becomes ill or is injured on the Irish Sea Pioneer (ISP). The Medic reports directly to the OIM and is custodian of all COSHH data (both produced data sheets and COSHH assessments) and also acts as consultant regarding medical conditions relating to COSHH.
Job Specific Duties:
Responsibility for providing first line medical care to all persons who become ill or injured and, if necessary, liaise with onshore medical adviser
Responsibility for keeping records of all injuries and illnesses that have occurred and treatments given. Also responsible for sending monthly report to onshore medical support focal person
Responsibility for complying with the permit to work and risk assessment procedures
Carrying out and report on hygiene inspections on a regular basis.
Responsibility for keeping accurate records of all personnel arrivals and departures to and from the ISP and for keeping the Personnel on Board (POB) list up to date. Report POB information to the shore management office on a daily basis
Responsibility for radio communications with helicopter flights and liaison with Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)
Responsibility for all personnel reception duties which include safety inductions and cabin and locker allocations
Responsibility for arranging helicopter safety briefings and manifests
The successful candidate must have a current valid HSE Offshore Medic Certificate AND one of the following:
Registered Nurse (Adult) with NMC current registration, a suitable portfolio and prior offshore experience
Royal Navy/ Royal Marines/ Royal Fleet Auxiliary Medic who has attained the rank of Leading Hand/ Corporal & a suitable portfolio with prior offshore experience
Army Medical Assistant (CMT1, RMA1) or RAF Medical Assistant – who has attained the rank of Corporal & a suitable portfolio with prior offshore experience
Registered paramedic, HCPC registration, a suitable portfolio and prior offshore experience
