Paramedic

Coeur, Inc. is the largest U.S.-based primary silver producer and a growing gold producer. The Company has five precious metals mines in the Americas generating strong production, sales and cash flow. The Kensington underground gold mine and associated milling facilities are located within the Berners Bay Mining District on the east side of Lynn Canal about 45 miles north-northwest of Juneau, Alaska. The project is wholly owned and operated by Coeur Alaska, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.

Position Summary:

Full-time paramedic to cover emergency care for the Coeur Alaska Kensington Mine.  Role is based at the Kensington Mine Site with a private room attached to the clinic.  The current schedule is three weeks on three weeks off.



Responsibilities:

Emergency care for employees and contractors
Treat and care for first-aid injuries
Maintain medical supply inventory
Perform routine inspections of equipment and supplies
Perform blood draws for voluntary annual screening and bi-annual testing
Perform hearing tests for employees and contractors
Provide respirator fit tests for employees and contractors
Administer drug and alcohol tests
Maintain employee medical records
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Employees must comply with all company policies including, but not limited to attendance, safety, environmental, and HR policies. Employees are responsible for understanding and complying with the Environment, Health, Safety and Social Responsibility Policy. Employees must protect the environment and their own safety, as well as those around them.
This is a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotational position.


Qualifications/Educational Requirement:

High school diploma or equivalent.
MICP certification.
National registry paramedic certification.
Current ACLS and BLS.
Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust and takes accountability
Demonstrated understanding and acceptance for responsibility of confidentiality.
Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees, both written and orally.
Preference given to Alaskan residents.
