Tasks & Responsibilities :
Under the responsibility of the general coordinator, you are ensuring that the different components of the program are consistent and in link with health needs. You ensure that the objectives of this mission are fulfilled and that end-targets are accomplished in time.
More specifically, your responsibilities are to:
1. Team management
Manage directly the pharmacist and supervise technically the health program coordinator in Dohuk and the medical manager in Kirkuk
Participate to the recruitment of any medical local and expatriate staff
Validate and support the organization of health training for MdM staff and/or MoH health workers
Work on the capacity building of the national staff
2. Program management
Participate in the development of the general strategy
Participate in the implementation of the medical activities
Analyse medical data received weekly from medical supervisors
Contribute to medical assessments on geographical areas according to the MdM strategy
Provide technical expertise and lead the medical strategy working closely with the partners
3. Coordination and representation
Evaluate the needs and requests made by partners
Communicate with donors and head office upon request by general coordinator
Represent MdM in health clusters, NGOs health meeting and with the local and national authorities
4. Management of medical stock and logistic chain for medical purchase
Validate technically the medical purchases
Ensure international orders adequacy in line with MdM standards and budget available
Supervise the pharmacies operations quality
Supervise the administrative process to obtain international/national medicines
5.Reporting
Elaborate monthly health report with the team
Monitor monthly the elaboration of the Monitool and train the team on the Monitool follow up
Analyse the data of the Monitool in order to propose reorientations of the program
Contribute actively to proposals and reports to donors
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Status : Employee Contract : Fixed-term contract
Duration : 12 months
Position based in Erbil with regular visits in areas of operations
Starting date: as soon as possible
Gross monthly salary: 2 984 euros
Premium equal to one month salary paid in two instalments - minimum of 6 months seniority required
Transportation cost, vaccines and visas covered
Guesthouse housing
22.5 RTT (recovery days) per year
5 weeks of paid leaves per year
Break policy
Health insurance (60% covered by MdM and 40% by the employee)
Insurance (repatriation…)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Public health expert, preferably medical doctor
At least 2 years of experience in similar positions in humanitarian sector
Experience in working with IDPs or refugees
Experience in remote management and emergency response
Experience in hard negotiations with local authorities, partners and staff
Experience in the Middle-East is a strong asset
Capacity to work in an volatile security context
Able to prioritize and anticipate
Languages: English fluent
French or Arabic is an asset
