SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Operating Room/Medical Surgical Nurse Lead to join a large medical support services program in Iraq supporting our U.S. Government customer. The Operating Room/Medical Surgical Nurse Lead will facilitate providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery.
Essential Job Duties:
• Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery
• Prepares and maintains operating room for all surgical procedures
• Circulates and scrubs for surgical procedures
• Responds to surgical emergencies such as cardiac, pulmonary, or respiratory failure and hemorrhage
• Provides health promotion and basic medical care to patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses
• Monitors vital signs
• Practices their specialty based on demand of their work settings
• Promotes and Restores patient health by completing the nursing process
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs
• Provides physical and psychological support for patients, friends and families
• Supervises assigned team members
• Reinforces patient understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills and answering questions
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards
• Measures health outcomes against patient care goals and standards
• Makes or recommends necessary adjustments
• Follows hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing
• State Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations .
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors' degree in Nursing
• Current unrestricted U.S. state license as a Registered Nurse
• Membership in the Nursing Specialty professional association is desirable
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required
• Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least six months out of the past year.

• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
• Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition
