Medical Planner Trainer Mentor / 243
Summary / Scope of Work
The Medical Planner Trainer/Mentor for the ASSF Afghanistan Contract will Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor (TAAM) Special Operations Brigades (SOB) Medical/operational personnel to facilitate successful casualty operations, brigade health sustainment and medical administration to include tracking of casualties and status of wounded personnel with the G1.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
The Medical Planner Trainer Mentor shall train counterparts on the following tasks:
Developing the combat health support annex of the SOBs operations order
Overseeing and synchronizing brigade combat health operations
Monitoring medical troop strength to determine task organization for mission accomplishment
Obtaining updated medical threat and intelligence information for evaluation
Verifying emergency supply requests and taking action to expedite delivery
Monitoring Class VIII resupply requests to ensure adequate stockage for support of brigade operations
TAAM the care, progress, and reporting of all wounded personnel in the SOB
Minimum Requirements
The Medical Planner Trainer Mentor must have:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Five (5) years of experience as a military medical professional (Combat Medic, Special Forces Medical Sergeant, PA, MD) at the Battalion/Brigade level (or equivalent) or Special Operations Company/Battalion-level (or equivalent)
Experience in operational medical planning, medical logistics, and medical sustainment training.
Combat experience
Twelve (12) months experience in Afghanistan preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
U.S. Citizenship
Valid U.S. passport
MS Office and personal computer skills
Interpersonal and people skills
Organizational and project management skills
Willingness to work in hostile areas
Ability to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR and wear protective clothing and equipment as In the conduct of their training contractors may encounter hostile forces
Professional Credentials Requirement: Medical Provider or certified SOF Medical NCO such as 18D.

This position is located in Afghanistan and requires the employee to deploy and live on forward operating bases operated by Afghan National Army under austere conditions without regular U.S. PX and Commissary facilities. Travel within the country and possible relocation (based upon the needs of the U.S. Government) to any location in Afghanistan is required.
