Job Description 
The Case Manager is responsible for coordinating the hospital case management process and facilitating the communication process between all role players by providing accurate and timely clinical information. This should be done in a manner that minimise financial risk for the Company.

Requirements 
- A formal clinical qualification and licensed as a Registered Nurse or qualified Paramedic in the UAE
- At least 3 years' experience in a clinical, insurance or medical coding position in a DRG healthcare environment
- Previous experience with patient administration systems and good working knowledge of patient administration policies and procedures
- Sound knowledge and understanding of funder contracts, requirements and narrations
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to build good working relationships with internal and external clients
- Strong preference for working under own direction and taking full responsibility for work outcomes
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability the communicate information in an understandable and acceptable manner to different internal stakeholders
- Ability to plan and organise workload
- Above average focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Key Outputs 
- Prevent financial risk for the company by effectively managing the patient stay
- Ensure accurate interpretation of clinical criteria in support of accurate billing
- Effectively address all funder related queries via the insurance department
- Ensure compliance with case management procedures, contracts and all related legal aspects
- Ensure correct and timely finalisation of cases to prevent delayed payments or rejections
- Accurately capture and code medical services, co-morbidities, and primary and secondary procedures
- Ensure that clinical coding standards are adhered to as per coding guidelines
