JoDESCRIPTION
Responsibility 1: Ensure timely and comprehensive service delivery
Activities:
Provide direct care to the people with injuries in the hospitals or any other location in the area of intervention
Ensure the optimal mobilization of national PT staff in delivery of appropriate rehabilitation services for people with injuries
Ensure holistic and comprehensive approach to rehabilitation services
Ensure rehabilitation service management in accordance with the established management system
Adapt protocols for early rehabilitation care within HI’s trauma response in collaboration with targeted health facilities and other HI technical staff
Ensure regular use of the management tools including patient file, assessment and prescription forms to aid work organization, data collection and statistics.
Responsibility 2: Ensure ongoing Quality Assurance
Activities:
Regularly directly supervise the work of national PTs and in coordination with the Project Officer and Project Manager conducts QA of staff performance and set out individual staff performance and development plans.
Assess the physiotherapists’ capacity and prioritize training needs for an effective implementation of rehabilitation care in coordination with the Project Officer, Project Manager and Technical Advisor;
Responsible towards meeting those training needs through development/adaptation of training contents and techniques in close collaboration with the Rehabilitation Officer/Rehabilitation Technical Advisor and other relevant HI technical staff
Provide on-the-job and structured follow up trainings to national PTs to ensure quality of services
Prepare, organize and follow-up the national PT’s work plans
Ensure that the treatment protocols and patient care are following the PT protocols and that the therapists properly use the available equipment; with a special focus on early rehabilitation care for war wounded
Deliver these trainings to partners’ rehabilitation staff in methods, approaches, tools and techniques useful for the project implementation (including on-the-job training);
Responsibility 3: Ensure effective external and internal coordination & collaboration
Activities:
Represent HI in all meetings and coordination events in hospitals or area of when requested by Project Manager
Coordinate with the medical/surgical team in hospitals or sites in area of intervention for what concerns technical coordination and topics
Ensure a harmonized technical message is provided during these meetings and that HI speaks in a common voice on technical issues.
Regularly reporting on the above activities as requested by your line manager
Monitoring and ensuring the technical relevance, quality of HI’s intervention and HI’s guideline implementation.
Report of some case studies discussed with the PT to Rehabilitation Officer/Technical Advisor;

Qualifications/training
Degree diploma in Physiotherapy
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in trauma management
Experience as a trainer of adults in field of expertise
Previous experience in physiotherapy of persons with injuries in conflict situations (experience of war wounded care management mandatory) within INGOs
Experience in the region (especially working within a similar healthcare and educational system) would be a strong asset
Personal qualities
Strong communication and reporting skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
Ability to work under high pressure
English mandatory (oral and written), Arabic would be a strong asset
