We are currently recruiting for a Senior Registered Nurse - Paediatric ICU for Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Mediclinic City Hospital is a part of Mediclinic Middle East which is the largest private healthcare provider in the UAE. It is part of Mediclinic International, a private hospital group with three operating platforms in Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia), Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, and a 29.9% shareholding in Spire Healthcare, a UK-based healthcare group with 38 hospitals. In a pediatric intensive care nurse job, the PICU RN provides care for children and adolescents, usually up to the age of 16, with life-threatening or high-acuity conditions that require constant monitoring.

Requirements
Licensing and Education:
• Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Nursing (minimum of 3 years duration) from a recognised Nursing Institute
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in home country and in current place of practice or residence
• Post graduate diploma in Paediatric ICU or Critical Care is a definite advantage
•Healthcare accreditation experience will be noted
•Active Dubai Health City Regulation (DHCR) or Dubai Health Authority (DHA) eligibility or license is a plus
• Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)
Specialized Skills/Abilities/Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years paediatric intensive care nursing experience after graduation preferably in a private tertiary hospital, 2 years of which in a senior capacity
• Training in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is essential and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is a plus
• Ability to deliver advanced nursing care in complex situations for PICU patients
• Ability to monitor and adjust medical equipment used in the care and treatment of critical patients

•Demonstrated understanding with regard to the nature of service culture and the process of building it

•English language proficiency is a must and Arabic language skills would be an advantage

Key Outputs
•Responsible for the management, supervision and preceptorship of junior members of the team
•Deputise for Unit Manager in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility and take charge of the unit as required
•Demonstrate technical and clinical proficiency and comprehend its impact on work/unit/patient outcomes
•Documentation audits are done according to hospital policy
•Risk management of the nursing unit is maintained
•Participating in patient client safety and risk minimizing activities
•Continuous improvement projects are implemented and monitored
•Follow appropriate cost containment practices
•Service culture orientation is integrated and demonstrated in daily activities
•Caring for and educating patients about their conditions, as well as establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families
•Guidelines of International Patient Safety Goals and evidence-based practice are adhered to
