An experienced Site Medic required for a permanent role with a QLD underground mining operation.
Your new role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent you will be responsible for the onsite first response medical requirements for an underground metalliferous mine site. You will be an immediate point of contact for administering first aid for any injuries and illnesses onsite. You will actively be involved with procedure development and incident investigations and ensure safety awareness of personnel and management aligns with Safety Management Systems AS4801. You will need to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail and have the ability to develop strong working relationships with your colleagues. The role operates on a 15:13 roster with FIFO or residential options.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will be a Registered Nurse ideally with a strong background in the mining sector. You will have prior experience within Return to Work coordination and Rehabilitation and have demonstrated experience as an ERT member. You will hold cert IV TAE and Drug and Alcohol Testing certification.
