TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the responsability of the general coordinator, you will be responsible for contributing to the MdM medical strategy and for providing advises and field support to MdM health teams.
Your main responsabilities are:
1.Team management
-Technical supervision of medical supervisors, medical officers and medical trainers in Dohuk and Kirkuk
-Technical advices on recruitment of any medical local and expatriate staff
-To hold technical meetings, briefings and debriefings with the medical teams
-Validation and support to organize health training for MdM staff and/or MoH health workers
2.Program Management
-To participate in the development of the general strategy on MdM activities with the deputy general coordinator
-To participate in the implementation of medical activities in link with the needs of IDPs or host population
-To analyse the medical data received weekly from medical supervisors
-To contribute to medical assessments on geographical areas according to the MdM strategy and with the deputy general coordinator agreement
3.Coordination and representation
-Evaluation of needs and requests made by partners
-Communication with donors and head office upon request by the deputy general coordinator
-To participate in monthly coordination meetings
-Representation of MdM in health clusters and NGOs health meetings
4.Management of medical stock and logistic chain for medical purchase
-Technical validation of medical purchases
-To ensure international orders adequacy in line with MdM standards and budget available
-To supervise the pharmacies operations quality (consumptions, orders & inventory) in collaboration with the program health coordinators
-To insure a specific storage for medicines
5.Reporting
-To elaborate monthly health report with the team
-To monitor monthly the elaboration of the Monitool and train the team on its follow up
-To analyse the data of the Monitool in order to propose reorientations of the program
-To contribute actively to proposals and reports to donors
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Medical Doctor, Nurse or Midwife, preferably with a degree in public health
At least 2 years of significant international experience in similar positions in humanitarian sector.
Experience in working with IDPs or refugees
Experience in remote management and emergency response
Experience in hard negotiations with local authorities, partners and staff in a tricky context
Capacity to work in an volatile security context and able to apply strict security rules
Good management skills
Reactive, flexible and able to take initiatives
Ability to work under stressful situation
Very organized
A good communicator
Able to prioritize and anticipate
Good team spirit
Able to work and live in difficult conditions (climate, cultural context, promiscuity, isolation)
Fair knowledge of MS Office tool pack
Languages:
Fluent English
Arabic/French : an asset
