Medical Support Services in Iraq II
The role:
Ideally, you will be a highly qualified nurse anesthetist with experience in a hospital setting. You would provide medical services for the Medical Support Services in Iraq (MSSI) II healthcare system. You will take you to a variety of sites where you will utilize your expertise to mitigate and treat injuries and illness. You should have a proactive approach to workplace safety while taking a diplomatic and professional approach with customer interactions.
Location:
The office you would be operating in would be located within Iraq on a U.S. Government facility. Ideally, you should be willing to work in a US Government supported facilities with the ability to tolerate elevated outside temperatures and the occasional dust storms. Security will be provided to the facility by government forces, but candidates should be aware of the inherent risk that come with providing medical support in conflict-prone regions. If you were to be a successful candidate, you would be given enhanced training to prepare you for operations in such environments.
Rotations:
This position would require you to provide care in a shift work fashion, six days a week. Due to the nature of such assignments, we diligently work to provide flexible schedules to committed candidates. During the application process, you will have the opportunity to share you desired rotation schedule, with preference given to candidates seeking long-term rotations.
Position Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited U.S. nurse anesthetist program
3+ years of experience as a nurse anesthetist
Current BLS & ACLS
Active unrestricted license as a certified nurse anesthetist
Preferred Qualifications:
PHTLS or ITLS certifications
