Duties
As a Safety and Occupational Health Technician (EMT), you will:
Administer emergency treatment first aid to injured or ill employees on the job site for minor lacerations, sprains, strains, bruises, bumps, contusions, fractures, and similar injuries.
Conduct required health screening tests given to new and current employees during pre-placement, periodic, exit, and medical surveillance exams.
Inspect assigned areas of the workplace for existing or potential safety and health hazards and unsafe work practices.
Prepare for and conduct safety and health training programs, safety meetings, and coordinate facility safety and health fairs.
Qualifications Required:
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Selective Factor: You must have knowledge of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) practices, procedures, and techniques, and the application of same in a manufacturing facility health clinic and hold a valid state and/or national Emergency Medical (EMT) or Paramedic Certification. If selected, you will be required to provide a copy of your current certification.
