DAN has an excellent opportunity for a certified EMT experienced in diving, emergency medicine and coaching/teaching.
The role of a Medical Information Specialist “Medic” at DAN is to provide customer services through MSCC, conduct follow up, proper documentation under supervision of Director of Medical Services. The goal of the service is to assist caller in assessing their medical needs, directing them to the appropriate level of care or service and assisting them to obtaining it in safe and timely manner. It also includes coordination with first responders, travel assist and healthcare providers.
Interactions with divers and diving community include oral presentation, writing & reviewing articles, attending meetings essential for QA as well as continuing education.
Job Requirements:
Certified EMT
Emergency medicine experience within an EMS environment
Experience in scuba diving at a leadership level
Ability to make decisions based on prior experience and applied training
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and technical)
Prior customer service and/or triage phone experience highly desired
Ability to multitask
Bilingual language skills a plus.
