Job Description
Assist the EMS Manager with ensuring that all Emergency Medical Services (EMS) functions in assigned area are meeting internal corporate requirements and external regulatory compliance, as well as day to day EMS Line of Business operations. Maintains an open line of communication with Paramedics in the field as well as EMS Manager and support management.


Essential Job Functions

Directly responsible for EMS Inventory management process and insuring that Inventory is properly accounted for and reported as per corporate policies. Communicates best practices with corporate inventory management to ensure an accurate and proven inventory management system is in place.
Manages EMS Stock room so that accurate inventory levels are met without exceeding future needs and ensures that orders are placed to maintain adequate stock levels are kept as project #s fluctuate.
In conjunction with the EMS Manager ensures that all regulatory compliance is in place and accurate record keeping and paperwork is filed in relation to Controlled Narcotics.
Assists the EMS Manager with personnel logistics/scheduling/and staffing needs and communicates with EMS Manager for personnel needs and future issues pertaining to staffing needs and scheduling needs.
Assists the EMS Manager in ensuring all personnel are current on regulatory/EMS/and Safety training as defined by corporate policies and customer specific requirements.
Maintains open communication with Regional Business Administrators as it pertains to EMS Inventory and customer sales orders as well as removal of damaged and expired commodities.
Is proactive in ensuring the customers that are ordering from the EMS line of business are getting the correct items asked for and Sales orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.
Works with Corporate Purchasing and Vendors to ensure the company is getting the correct items needed and items are in stock or suitable replacements are used.
Communicates HR issues.
Availability to relieve employees in the field in Emergency and or short staffing instances.

Scope and Responsibility
Typically works independently and without direct supervision.
Provides input to budget. Approves overtime. Monitors overtime and other spending areas to ensure compliance to budget. Prepares specifications for EMS related equipment and supplies to ensure capability exists to meet organizational objectives. Assists in Overseeing day to day operations.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop and bend. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
Combination of office and field/production environments. Some exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. Travel to and from customer sites.


Requirements: 
•Must have current Drivers License and valid proof of vehicle insurance if driving company vehicle. Must possess good driving record and be insurable by Total Safety U.S., Inc. insurance providers for vehicle insurance while driving company truck. Must possess a current Paramedic license.
•Medical Licenses and Certifications:
NR-EMT-P (National Registry-Emergency Medical Technicians)-Paramedic level certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), CPR, and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). Knowledge of laws concerning and safeguarding and disposing of classified medications.
•Other Required Skills:
Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and other data base software.
•Demonstrate commitment to safety. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA.
•Possess critical reasoning skills and is capable of applying them effectively in stressful situations.
•Displays a high degree of attention to detail.
•Effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving, and team building.

Education: 
•A minimum of 2 years of experience working for an advanced life support EMS service, hospital, or US military.
•A minimum of 1 year leadership experience and/or training preferred.
•Associates degree preferred.
