Emergency Medical Instructor (EMT-P)

Working as a member of an Special Operations Forces (SOF) medical instructor team in support of the Joint Special Operations Medical Training CenterDescription:Working as a member of an Special Operations Forces (SOF) medical instructor team in support of the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center (JSOMTC) with duty location at Fort Bragg, NC the SOF-P provides medical instruction to SOF from across DOD, principally at the JFKSWCS facilities on Fort Bragg, NC. The SOF-P provides medical instruction across the entire range of combat and clinical medical disciplines. Instructors work alongside and in cooperation with active duty military and government civilian instructors to provide training in accordance with existing Programs of Instruction (POIs). SOF-Ps may be required to supervise other instructors or to work independently. The SOF-P possesses extensive background in combat related medical capabilities and techniques and is able to integrate lessons learned from field combat experience into instruction for students. The SOF-P may contribute to instructional improvement processes including POI review, quality review, development and implementation of evaluation tools, and development and implementation of practical exercises and scenarios. The SOF-P will participate in government mandated continuing education and skills training related both to medical skills related to program requirements and to instructional techniques and procedures. This position may require some travel to participate in mobile training teams. The SOF-P may be required to work overtime, weekends and nights in order to meet emerging training and operational requirements.



The SOF-P will have and/or obtain the following credentials prior to contract award:
3 years of experience as an Emergency Medical Instructor
Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals Instructor (PEPP Instructor)
Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic EMT-P, certified IAW NREMT or IAW USSOCOM Advanced Tactical Practitioner (ATP)
Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS-I)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor
Instructor Training Course (ITC)
Have at least 1 year experience as a Navy Independent Duty Corpsman; or an Army Special Forces Medic (18 Delta MOS) at a grade not less than Sergeant; or a Special Operations Combat Medic; or as an instructor in a USSOCOM medical pipeline course.
AHA certification must be accomplished within 6 weeks of hiring at the contractor's expense.



Additionally, the SOF-P must meet the following criteria:
Must have prior military experience with a strong preference for SOF (any service).
Have at least one year of experience as a deployed member of a USSOCOM Special Operations unit or at least one year of experience as an instructor in a USSOCOM medical pipeline course.
Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
Recent and or relevant SOF - P experience deployed in combat operations in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, and contingency operations highly desired.



Required Education
Must have a BS Degree. May consider an additional 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of educational requirements
