Remote Paramedic (Pipeline Project) , USA

Pipeline Project requesting Pennsylvania Licensed Paramedics to provide BLS support for crew members, up to 200. The provider will use a 4x4 Mobile Treatment Center to cover sick call and trauma support. When emergency transport is deemed necessary, you will activate the local EMS system.

Position Summary
ALS-providers are utilited to ensure immediate medical response for the works crews as well as on-site medical consult and follow-up, and to manage referrals to local clinics and potential escalation of work-related cases. Providers will work out of a Mobile Treatment Center (MTC), which is capable of negotiating rough roads and remote areas. The MTC is not equipped with common ALS interventions such as ACLS medications, cardiac monitor, controlled medications, etc. Patients requiring ALS treatment will be transferred to the care of local EMS for transport to definitive care.


Accommodations
Accommodations will be provided at a hotel in a nearby community. Some of the crew will be staying in personal trailers or campers. RMI will be managing the reservations and management of your accommodations but we are bound by the location and hotel selected by the client. If you have any issues with your room, please speak with the hotel first and notify your project coordinator if you require further assistance.

Meals and Per Diem
You are eligible to claim the $46/day per diem amount, beginning the day you depart from your home of record. Breakfast is typically included at the hotel. The workday is long and the job-site is remote. Plan to pack your lunch and snacks. Suggested things to bring are a thermos, personal water bottle, lunchbox container, etc.

Schedule
The work schedule is Monday-Saturday, roughly 12-4-hrs/day. Timesheets must be completed and signed by the site manager. Overtime is paid for hours over 40 in a standard, calendar week. Please refer to the Domestic Pipeline Information
brief for additional information on the daily schedule. The pipeline crews have Sundays off and you will be paid for 8-hours on Sundays that no work is performed. If you are required to work for the client, you will be paid accordingly. Please see document on “Entering Time for APLICO” for additional information.


Pre-Deployment Steps:
Interview/ Vetting of candidate
Background Check
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Completion of online CEVO II course. (Emergency Vehicle Operator)
Completion of OSHA 44 and 708 or higher
Clinical and Operational on boarding so that the provider is supported before starting the project.


Required Credentials
Current Pennsylvania state paramedic license
ACLS, BLS,
Preferred PHTLS, Rural/Remote experience as a single provider
