You will be based at our Mining Area C mine on a fly-in fly-out 8:6 roster. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, netted cricket pitch, and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

Position
As part of the Security & Emergency Management team your duties will include:
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- Provision of clinical leadership and direction
- Interact with the BHPIO HEMS Capability
- Respond to all emergency scenarios in line with BHPIO's Guidelines & Protocols
- Provide support to the Security Emergency Officer and Emergency Services Officers roles
- Adherence to the Crisis & Emergency Management Plan
- Liaise with Doctor on clinical / medical escalations
- Ensure compliance to Poison Act (Poison permit) requirements
- Assisting in skills maintenance training for site emergency response teams and/or key personnel
- Safety: Commitment to Zero Harm
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Graduate Diploma - Intensive Care Paramedic or equivalent OR Ambulance Service Qualified
- Qualifications must be able to be credentialed by Paramedics Australasia at ICP level.
- Preferably be a Member of Paramedics Australasia and be enrolled within the PA CPD
- TAFE Cert IV Trainer Assessor
- Intensive Care Paramedic - Minimum 5 years FTE direct patient contact, clinical experience in a pre-hospital or out of hospital environment
- As the position will require the applicant to undertake relief duties on the BHP HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service), Candidates must show recent evidence of Aeromedical operational experience within the last 12 months
- Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
