GOAL Syria is seeking to employ a short term consultant to provide First Aid training to both English and Arabic speaking staff in Antakya, Turkey, in early May 2015. The training is anticipated to last for 2 days in each language and the total number of people to be trained and certified is expected to be in the region of 40.
General Description of the Training:
The Frist Aid training should empower staff to respond to medical emergencies in the office, in/around a vehicle, or in the field.
Key Outputs: On completion of the training staff must be capable of:
Identifying general and local health and medical risks.
Equipping as required offices, cars, homes, and remote stations.
Assessing injured people and deciding on the right course of action.
Practising the best first aid for common injuries.
Responding at Road accidents. Managing Shock, unconsciousness and choking.
Responding to manage Breathing, assessment and assistance.
Managing Conflict wounds, bleeding and burns.
Arranging/Organizing/Preparing for Medical rescue and evacuation.
