This position must provide critical care paramedic level service. Directs and coordinates medical activities for project personnel. Conducts medical training, as required. In addition, be responsible for on site resource protection of medical supplies and equipment. Monitors medical issues to ensure personnel are advised of current medical threats so they can take appropriate action. Conduct facility inspections to evaluate site medical threats. Provides emergency medical service, including taking charge of life-threatening situations.
Provide optimal emergency medical service at immediate scene of injury. Perform under stress and take charge in life-threatening situations in order to stabilize or save a life. Dispenses medications and checks blood sugar on a regular basis.

Job Specifications
Responds to medical needs and arranges for or provides treatment. Maintains security and safety procedures for staff. Provides health care instruction and counseling. Assists physicians, psychiatrist, and dentist. Processes patients by screening and evaluation of medical and mental histories. Responds to crises in orderly manner. Assesses problems and alerts control if more help is needed. Initiates EMS disaster plan in the event of a major disaster. Examines patients and determines nature and extent of injuries. Implements basic and advanced life support according to standing orders and state guidelines. Stabilizes patient before transporting to ER. Monitors patient during treatment and transport. Dispenses medicines and checks blood sugars on a regular basis. Answers patient and staff inquiries. Maintains medical charts and records. Set appointments for patients with physicians, psychiatrist, or dentist. Maintains unit and exam rooms. Coordinates efforts with public safety personnel. Operates two-way radios and related equipment.

Qualifications:
Required: High school or GED. Oral and written communication skills. Able to become licensed as a Paramedic/EMT. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Hiring will be contingent on passing a physical agility test, a criminal background check, post-offer, pre-employment physical/psychological exam and drug screen. Regular attendance is essential. Must arrive at work on time, prepared to perform assigned duties and work assignment scheduled. Must have the ability to work well with others. Physical demands and environmental factors are also essential function of the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Works indoors but may also work in inclement weather, including extreme heat and cold. Works varying day and night schedules. Ability to assess accident scenes, lift 100 lbs., handle gurneys and emergency life support services. Must be able to handle extreme stress in crisis situations. Must be able to bend, lift, and perform CPR for extended periods of time.
