Description Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor assists the EMS Manager with day-to-day operations and oversees Administration, Training, Quality Assurance, Supply/Logistics and Safety for the EMS system on U.S. military bases in Kuwait.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provides direction and leadership in four functional areas: Training, Quality Assurance, Supply/Logistics and Safety.
2. Assists EMS Manager with day-to-day operations and covers for the EMS Manager in his/her absence.
3. Oversees payroll, installation access badging, visas, housing, drivers licensing and security clearances for all in theater employees.
4. Manages the on the ground orientation and on the job-training program for all newly hired personnel.
5. Develops and manages the EMS safety program under the auspices of Vectrus Environmental Health and Safety Office.
6. Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and members of Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU) and EMS community per the direction of the EMS Manager.
7. Spearheads professional development program for all personnel under the direction of the EMS Manager and Program Manager and in coordination with the Supervisors, Leads, Quality Assurance Officer and Training Officer.
8. Responsible for Special Projects as assigned by the EMS Manager.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by EMS Manager and MFA Management.
10. Required to cover down during absences or staff shortages.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Bachelors degree is preferred. Requires
Instructor certification in AHA BLS and ACLS is required. Instructor certification in AHA PALS and NAEMT PHTLS and AMLS is highly desirable.
Requires current registration as a NREMT-P or NRP with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Must have current AHA BLS Health Care Provider and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Preferred Requirements: NAEMSE certification

Experience Requires a minimum of 5 years of related Management and Administrative experience and preferably in an EMS system.
Competencies Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to follow and understand instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the Medical Faculty Associates (MFA). Must be able to do math calculations and input data into the computer.
Supervision Received
Supervision is received by the EMS Manager and Assistant Program Manager.
Supervision Exercised
Supervision exercised over Supply Technician, Training Officer and Training/Quality Assurance Officer. In the absence of the EMS Manager this position will oversee the two other EMS Supervisor positions.
