Reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Coordinator on site, we are looking for an enthusiastic dynamic individual to join our Mt Carlton operation in the role of Paramedic/Health & Safety Advisor. The role is responsible for providing paramedical Pre-Hospital care to employees, and minimizing risk in the workplace by actively promoting and monitoring safety.
Mt Carlton is located approximately 140 kilometres from Townsville and only 80 kilometres from the coastal town of Bowen. Camp accommodation is provided for all personnel on site with transport provided to/from Townsville or Bowen.

What will you be doing?
- You will be expected to support the ERT Coordinator in the delivery of in site ERT training You will be developing effective incident, emergency response and other emergency preparedness procedures.
- You will be committed to the maintaining of health, safety and security standards and principles, both within the workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout the organization.
- You will demonstrate expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture.
The Paramedic / HSE Advisor will have the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of three years qualified experience in a state or territory ambulance service
- Experience of Workplace Health and Safety in heavy industry
- Previous experience with Health, Safety & Training within the Mining Industry
- A minimum of QLD Ambulance Service Advanced Care Paramedic Level 2 or equivalent
- A minimum of Diploma in Paramedical Science or equivalent
- Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills within Health & Safety
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE 40110)
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (Desirable)
- Hold a current Australian manual drivers licence
