Required:
– US Citizen
– Prior SOF experience
– Prior 18D Medic
– BLS, ACLS, PEPP and NREMT certified
– Basic High Angle Rescue experience
– Instructor certified, preferable
Duties:
SOF Combat Medic instructors will instruct 7th SFG (A) personnel the Special Operations Medical Skills Sustainment Course, recertifying personnel in BLS, ACLS, PEPP Basic, as needed PEPP Advanced Certifications, and basic high angle rescue techniques, among other trauma, triage and medical topics. SOF Combat Medic instructors will follow the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and instruct students on the technical aspects of the equipment for this course. Instructors will evaluate students’ duty performance and certify their competence of the skills instructed within the course utilizing prescribed evaluation methods and performing analysis of training effectiveness. SOF Combat Medic instructors also will review, recommend and make changes to the course training material curriculum with approval.
Part-time, hourly position to instruct 2-4 courses per year. Commuting from home station is possible and can be discussed.
