Purpose:
Job holder will be the focal point for Medical Emergency Response activities, implementation of the Company health policies and procedures within the area of operations and audit the compliance by contractor companies. Responsible for the coordination of Health and Hygiene inspection and related Compliance activities on D-Island. To be a member and focal point of the medical emergency response team.

may request reasonable additional tasks and duties as and when
necessary
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
Medical
Focal point for the coordination of Health and Hygiene inspection and related compliance activities on D-Island. Liaises with KPD site offshore authority , HSE Advisor, Barge masters, Doctors, Contractor Health and Hygiene Specialist and other relevant stakeholders, as required with respect to this subject area.
Communicates relevant health and hygiene information derived from above activities to Health and Medical Services- Occupational Health Section
To provide advice to the offshore Site Authority on medical emergency response issues as part of the KPD Offshore site authority core advisory team
To be Medical Emergency On-Scene Commander as part of the agipkco D-Island Major Incident Medical Management Procedure/D-Island Emergency Response Team
Contributes to incident Investigation and Reporting teams relating to medical emergency response and food safety aspects of relevant high level incidents
To have an active involvement in emergency response planning on D-Island from the medical response perspective
Review Contractors clinic, with respect to Contractual Compliance and established good MER practices
Internal auditing of compliance with MER procedures, work instructions and RoK legislative requirements
To provide training in patient resuscitation, extrication and transport for agipkco site medical staff, ERT members, stretcher bearers, etc
Maintain/ Evaluates competency status of all medical staff involved in MER activities and provides report for inclusion in annual staff appraisal
Review medical response in terms of personnel and equipment for major incident plans on D-Island
Monitor availability, functionality and condition of all island medical facilities, stretchers, first aid points- including eyewash stations and emergency showers
Regularly reviews medical equipment with respect to functionality, calibration, effectiveness, usability, compliance with RoK , international and best practice standards
Monitor and report food safety compliance in each catering facility including food chain supply and delivery
Promote food safety activities and track the timely close out of corrective actions
To liaise with Occupational Health section of Company health and medical services department with respect to health risk assessments of work conditions on D-Island
To be a team member in review of occupational health requirements and implementation with respect to DI activities
Support of any Company-wide health promotion programme on D1.
Reporting
Weekly activity report to Atyrau Head of Medical Services and Head of occupational Health
Reports as required by tasks above
Attendance at DI HSE and ER related meetings as agreed with on KPD Offshore site authority
Written handover at each crew change.

Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have
Minimum of 15 years operational experience as a paramedic / medic, with at least 7 years as a remote site paramedic.
Qualified as either as a Registered Nurse or Registered Paramedic or military equivalent.
Have a valid UK HSE Offshore medics certificate or equivalent
Valid pre-hospital trauma and advanced life support certification
Recognised qualification in food safety at minimum of level 3 (intermediate)
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent experience (Level 3)
Experience in providing HSE advice for drilling and production operations, in a remote site or offshore environment
Previous experience in conducting training in first aid and pre-hospital medical care
Previous experience of marine operations in the former Soviet Union would be highly beneficial- as would knowledge of Republic of Kazakhstan Regulatory codes and laws

Working Conditions:
Working on a 28 / 28 day rotation and will be based Offshore. Flexibility in rotational schedules to meet operational needs is an absolute must. Working hours shall follow the accepted norm for the company but may also require provision of emergency medical care throughout a 24 hour period. Therefore the post holder will always carry a communication device and not leave OR site without prior clearance. There is a restriction of the social activities to ensure that the post holder is competent to provide emergency care during any duty periods.
