Bechtel is seeking an ES&H Services Coordinator(Medical) to join the Wheatstone LNG Project working from the Onslow site
Role Overview
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the day to day operations of the on-site Subcontractor Medical Services provider which includes: Staffing Plan validation and assessment, Budget reviews, document reviews and verification of invoices.
- Report to the ESH Deputy Services Manager and work as a peer with Rehabilitation Coordinator, Occupational Health Coordinator, and Emergency Management Supervisor
- Knowledge of medical record keeping requirements in accordance with the standards of professional medical practice, applicable government regulations, and ESH requirements.
- Proficiency and experience in interpreting and evaluating regulatory standards where applicable to health and medical facility regulations in Western Australia
- Providing assistance to project construction management team in implementing and complying with applicable project HSE requirements and in addressing safety/health issues as they arise during project execution.
- Participating in meetings with project team members, and subcontractors to advise them of medical services requirements.
- Providing technical support and assistance directly to construction supervision and subcontractors in planning and executing field activities in accordance with the project medical services requirements.
- Assist departments and subcontractors in collecting data and implementing applicable medical emergency response capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in ES&H/Management/Nursing or related science/engineering
- Knowledge of Western Australia Workplace Health and Safety laws and regulations and proficiency in applying them to the project. (WA OSH Act 1984,) is preferred
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Hospital/Large Clinic Administrator, or Paramedic in Western Australia will be considered.
- Working knowledge of safe work practices and experience in conducting accident investigations, compliance audits and project health surveys will be considered
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or equivalent will be considered
