Medical Training Instructor

Location: Lancashire
Salary: £200 per day + accommodation
Job Type: Contract
 
My client who is one of the UK's leading training providers is now seeking 2 Medical Training Instructors to deliver First Aid/FPOS Intermediate course to their students.

This position is predominantly based within the UK and is offered over several short term contracts throughout the year.

The role will involve the delivery and development of a Medical Training packages including First Person on Scene (FPOS) Basic and Intermediate and more advanced Medical Training. This training is to meet the standards and
requirements of those working in the Security industry in the UK and within Hostile Environments.

In order to qualify for this position you must be qualified as one of the following:
• Combat Medical Technician CMT1 (Ministry of Defence)
• IHCD Ambulance Technician qualification
• IHCD Ambulance Paramedic qualification
• State Registered Paramedic
• Doctor (GMS registered)
• Nurse (NMC registered with relevant clinical experience)
• St John Ambulance, Tech 3

Other Medical Qualifications may be acceptable depending on the type and level achieved and you must be able to evidence clinical experience.

Instructional Qualifications Must meet
• Level 3 Certificate for Teaching in the Life Learning Sector (CTLLS)
• Certificate of Education
• Basic Instructional Techniques (BITS), Ministry of Defence.
• 80 hours of certificated training/teaching from a recognised awarding organisation
• IHCD Tutor Award
• IHCD Instructional Methods Course (PASS)
• ENB Nurse Tutor qualification (previously known as the 998)

Experience
Applicants must be able to evidence their occupational competence and history of medical skills and experience. In addition applicants should have a demonstrable record of training be able to evidence their continued professional development.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for supporting the business training strategy
• Development and delivery of specialist medical training
• Assessing and providing accurate and developmental feedback to candidates
• Responsible for the upkeep of auditable training records
• Provide advice and co-ordinate activities with a view to aiding the development of training programmes.
• Revision and amendment of training programmes as necessary, in order to meet the needs of changing legislation and client demands.
• Support and maintenance of internal and external quality assurance systems
• Recognise and carry out responsibilities with regard to the Company's Legislative, Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards

This would suit an individual who is able to commit to delivering about 8 to 10 , 4 day courses per year, however this can be expanded should the individual have experience in other areas of security training or should additional courses be arranged.
