HES Specialist (HES Medic Specialist)

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of HES Specialist (HES Medic Specialist) located in Offshore, Thailand through December 6, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Provide basic and emergency health care for the Chevron workforce by diagnosing and treating common illnesses as they occur, and treating minor injury cases within the scope provided

Implement health programs and provide health information by presenting health information at general safety meetings or shop safety meetings. Also implement health education programs on potential health hazards

Document group and individual medical conditions and events by preparing a regular bi-weekly medical statistics and minor injury reports, and maintaining accurate and confidential files of employee’s current health and treatment history

Assist operations facility management plan for HES goals, targets and planned activities for the facility and personnel as well as facility risk assessment/reviews and auditsImplement HES Processes by coordinating with field personnel to HES implementation, such as Incident Investigation & Analysis, Behavior Based Safety, Job Safety Analysis, and reviewing risks and implementing control measures

Monitor and Evaluate HES activities by compiling and analyzing HES related data from all groups and generating HES performance reports monthly, quarterly, or as requested as well as analyzing incidents to determine root causes and trends and recommending preventive actions

Provide Training and Advising support by serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the implementation of the HES Processes/Procedures implementation, and coaching and advising field supervisors and the workforce and developing and delivering training specific to facility operations needs

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Medic or a Nurse (Oil and Gas industry will be an advantage)
Must be willing to be trained as an HES professional by participating in part-time study towards a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Good interpersonal skill, able to work in the offshore environment on rotational basis, high mobility in the offshore area
Good English Skill both Speaking and Writing
Relocation Options: Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
