Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): St. John's Ambulance First-Aid Certificate, Canadian Red Cross First-Aid Certificate, Advanced Life Support Skills Certificate, Driver's licence
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Driver's Record: Driver's abstract
Work Setting: Mining company, Construction company
Specific Skills: Assess extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment, Administer pre-hospital emergency care, Administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients, Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care, Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided, Assist hospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary
Additional Skills: Train and supervise other ambulance attendants or emergency technicians and attendants
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Sitting, Standing for extended periods
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
