Job Description
We’re currently looking for a Clinic Manager / Medic Co-ordinator to join our team based in Aberdeen, Tullos office, reporting to the UK Health Manager for Shell Upstream International Europe (UIE).
In this role the the successful applicant will support UK Upstream business and will be accountable for implementing group standards for health and will work as part of an integrated health team.
As a Clinic Manager / Medic Coordinator you will be responsible for…
.Implementation of local protocols and procedures in compliance with legislation, Shell policy, HSSE and Social Performance Control Framework standards
.Provide Health subject matter expertise to drive and assure effective Medical Emergency Response, including Plans, Resources, Exercises and actions for UK locations
.Act as Health Subject Matter Expert for combined HSE Management Standards Inspection of assets
.Quality Assurance of key deliverables of the offshore medics in Occupational Health including specifically Clinical Supervision, Drug and Alcohol policy and Medical Emergency Response.
.Authorization and Accountability for Medical Consumables Contract for UK North Sea
. Manage and supervise the clinic including assessment needs, recruitment, customer satisfaction and induction of Contractor staff
.Contract Holder and contract management of various service companies / bodies
.Involved in tactical planning to improve employee health through Health Promotion activities including Be Well programme and Healthy Working Lives Award
.Develop 3 year strategy for Health Promotion for Aberdeen Offices. Design content of programs to drive change and improve health behaviors through various activities e.g. Smoking Cessation
. Communicate with business line and employees about various Health Promotion program and allocate and prioritize resources for program delivery
.Follow up outcomes on Health Promotion activities to employees and reports to management as appropriate
.Interact and leverage value from local external health organizations to provide expertise and resource
.Plan, organize and deliver fitness to work and health surveillance programmes, sickness absence case management and Health Promotion as a component part of Shell Health Service Level Agreement (SLA) to UIE Business Units.
.Ensure provision of high quality fit for purpose clinical and occupational health deliverables by offshore Contractor medics in line with Shell Standards and the regulatory framework
Key Challenges:
Continuous improvement of clinical delivery and Occupational Health compliance for all offshore and onshore locations.
Desired Skills & Experience
As an ideal candidate you should essentially be a Registered General Nurse or equivalent forces qualified with a minimum degree or post graduate qualification in Occupational Health or equivalent with significant experience preferably within Oil & Gas or any related industry with some offshore experience would be an advantage.
In addition to the above, you must also have,
.Food Hygiene Intermediate Certificate and be competent in Food Hygiene Inspections which will be beneficial to this role but not essential
.Experience in Audit
.Offshore capability
.Management and commercial awareness skills
. High level of IT literacy including usage of applications like MS Office and medical database
.Excellent communication and influencing skills
.Good team working and interpersonal skills.
