Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of TCO – Chief Medical Officer located in Tengiz, Kazakhstan through December 9, 2020.
The TCO – Chief Medical Officer works closely with all Global Health & Medical staff to provide coordination of all Health & Medical efforts as well as corporate and company wide initiatives and special projects. Specific knowledge of the local Business Unit process is required.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
TCO MSEA process advisor
Perform periodic review of the MSEA program to ensure compliance with TCO and Chevron GHM standards and expectations.
Work directly with Chevron Regional Medical Manager to identify opportunities and address gaps in the program.
Ensure that Chevron electronic medical records are effectively managed and accurate. All international data privacy rules (GDPR, HIPAA) are appropriately followed.
Oversee MSEA examinations performed on behalf of the Chevron
Medical Emergency Services Advisor
Consult and advise on matters related to medical evacuation.
Manage emergency services contract with vendors.
Coordinate and facilitate training related emergency competencies.
Review/audit all international medical evacuations for quality assurance.
Consult with expatriate personnel regarding medical concerns and treat as necessary
Coordinate and direct medical evacuation within Kazakhstan
Expat Medical Advisor
Review and identify medical needs and or resources to serve the health of the expatriate community.
Review and audit local medical resources to understand ability manage expat medical conditions locally.
Assist with education of TCO medical providers on international medical standards and work with Chevron Regional Medical Manager to ensure that all medical staff possess appropriate medical competencies.
Work with expat community to facilitate and coordinate medical care for our workforce and families.
Ensure corporate services such health and wellness and EAP are effectively delivered to the workforce.
Supervise the work of the Atyrau RDO clinic

Supervise the work of the expatriate doctors based in Tengiz and Atyrau

Chevron Medical Liaison to TCO
Align medical process and protocols and ensure a fit for purpose approach is taken to maintain high quality services are delivered to a Global Workforce.
Work directly with Chevron Regional Medical Manager to facilitate medical care to TCO and/or Chevron employees while overseas during international assignments and business travel.
COVID 19 Medical response
Supervise and coordinate TCO medical response teams in the detection, isolation and treatment or prevention of suspected or confirmed cases within Greater Tengiz area and Atyrau
Liaise with senior managers in Tengiz and Atyrau regarding recommended measures to reduce COVID 19 and to assist in their dialogue with RoK officials


Special Projects
Participate as needed on priority special projects as determined by Chevron Regional Medical Manager. Role in each project may differ based on needs and competencies.


Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of Medical/Emergency Services experience with at least 5 years’ experience managing expat populations in remote locations.
Must be licensed to practice medicine in home country
Must be ACLS/ATLS certified. Will be expected to posses or obtain medical license from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Proven ability to manage emergency medical cases in remote location is essential for this role.
