Job Description
Our client is accepting resumes of qualified candidates for the Nurse position to work full-time. Our client is in an active bidding process for this position which is contingent upon award. 

Scope: 
Work to be performed in medical facility located within the Mogadishu International Airport (MIA) providing routine medical care and medical exams, as well as primary care. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which our client is recognized.

Required Certification , Qualifications & Experience : 
Diploma in Nursing

Minimum of 3 Years' experience in nursing in a hospital setting
Fluency in English
Note: Our client will provide institutional malpractice insurance as well as individual malpractice policies for Nurses, Physicians and other primary care providers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotes and restores patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients and supervising assigned team members.
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients.
Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching and counseling patient and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintains staff by orienting new hires, training employees, maintaining a safe, secure and legal work environment and developing personal growth opportunities for nursing personnel
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching/ mentoring, counseling and disciplining employees.
Developing, coordinating, and enforcing company policies, procedures and initiatives
Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements.
Assists with the managing of day to day activities and prioritizing tasks.
Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
Complies with all applicable our client's standards and guidelines.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings.
Other duties as assigned
Maintains the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights for patients.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a current passport.
Must sign a Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) with our client and is bound to the terms and conditions of the FSA.
Will be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
Work hours are based on an 84-hr. work week; typically, seven (7),12 hour days but other variations may apply.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be "medically and dentally fit" in accordance with our client Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client
No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Somalia is required by surface or air.
